Victory

At Ringside with Jim Ross, Jerry “the king” Lawler, and Hermie Sadler

Jim Ross:  Welcome everyone to Victory.  Tonight, we are live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.  What a show we have for you tonight and it is only a few days away from the huge One Man Standing Pay Per View, where the road to Virtual Bash will begin.

Jerry “the king” Lawler:  You are 100 percent right, JR.  One Man Standing will be huge and this is the last Victory before the event.  Tonight’s main event will feature two participants in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match when Randy Orton will take on Jeff Hardy.

Hermie Sadler:  Also, two other participants involved in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match will face off when Triple H battles John Morrison, with The Miz in his corner.

Jerry “the king” Lawler:  The Brian Kendrick, with Ezekiel Jackson in his corner, will take on Robert Roode in a Singles Match between two superstars to represent Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

Hermie Sadler:  Mike Knox is taking on the 2007 Royal Rumble Winner, Undertaker, in a match between to participants in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

Jerry “the king” Lawler:  We have later tonight a 6 Person Tag Team Match when the VCWE Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Benjamin, teams up with Chris Jericho and the VCWE Bimbo’s Champion, Awesome Kong, as they take on Goldust, the VCWE North American Champion, Christian Cage, and Maria.

Hermie Sadler:  Plus, General Manager of Victory, Theodore Long, will announce the matches for next week’s show, which is a few days after the One Man Standing Pay Per View.  Plus much, much more to come tonight.

Jim Ross:  But lets kick off tonight’s show with a huge Singles Match between two participants involved in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

Opening Contest

For the start of the show, it was Sting taking on Kofi Kingston in a huge Singles Match between two superstars representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  This match was a tremendous one between the two superb athletes, with some highflying, speedy, and aerial maneuvers by Kofi Kingston and the powerful tactics from Sting.  The ending came when Sting made Kofi Kingston submit to the Scorpion Death Lock.

Todd Grisham is Interviewing Jeff Hardy

Todd Grisham:  My guest at this time is Jeff Hardy.  Jeff, later tonight in the main event you’ll be taking on Randy Orton.  You two are participants in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match, but tonight you two are opponents.  Your thoughts?

Jeff Hardy:  I have been told that I could never reach the heights of superstars like Undertaker, Triple H, John Cena, and others.  But back in the WWE, I won the WWE Championship.  So, I can do the same in the VCWE.  I will be the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner and then head to Virtual Bash and overcome all odds and win the VCWE Heavyweight Championship.  It is a done deal.  I can do what I want, when I want.  Tonight, I’ll build some momentum heading into One Man Standing and I’ll be the underdog that wins a Royal Rumble Match.

Todd Grisham:  Good luck, Jeff.

Tag Action

In the next match, it was a Tag Team Match between Rhino and Rey Mysterio taking on Chavo Guerrero and Sheik Abdul Bashir.  This match wasn’t too long nor savvy, but seen its end when Rhino pinned Sheik Abdul Bashir after The Gore.

Todd Interviews Triple H

Todd Grisham:  Please welcome my guest at this time, Triple H.  Triple H, up next you take on John Morrison in a Singles Match and the winner will gain the momentum heading into the 2009 Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night.  You are the 2002 Royal Rumble Winner, and you have the shot at winning the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  Thoughts?

Triple H:  Yes, Todd.  I do have some thoughts.  I returned to the WWE in 2002 after I suffered a torn quadriceps muscle in 2001.  My first match was the 2002 Royal Rumble Match.  I won it.  Tonight, I’ll be defeating John Morrison and I’ll head to the 2009 Royal Rumble Match and I’ll walk away the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner and be a two time winner of the Royal Rumble Match.  Then at Virtual Bash, I’ll become a two time VCWE Heavyweight Champion.

Singles Match

In the next contest, it was a Singles Match between two participants that are representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  It was Triple H taking on John Morrison, with The Miz in his corner.  This match was a great match and seen a lot of back and forth action between the two superstars.  The ending came, however, a surprise to no one as Triple H pinned John Morrison after a Pedigree.  After the match, Triple H delivered a Pedigree to The Miz.

Theodore Long Interviewed

Todd Grisham:  Please welcome the General Manager of Victory, Theodore Long.  Mr. Long, what matches have you made for next week’s Victory broadcast, which will be just a few nights after the huge One Man Standing Pay Per View?

Theodore Long:  Well, Todd.  I know that Extreme has a main event next week featuring all ten of their superstars representing them in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match, and quite frankly, I like that idea.  We may have the 2009 Royal Rumble Match be on our team, so I’ll be making next week’s main event a 10 Man Tag Team Match and it’ll feature the ten superstars representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  It’ll be Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, The Brian Kendrick, and Undertaker taking on Randy Orton, Sting, Robert Roode, John Morrison, and Mike Knox.  Also for next week’s show, it’ll be a Non Title Triple Threat Match between the current VCWE Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Benjamin, taking on both the possibly new VCWE Heavyweight Champion, Goldust, and also in the match will be Chris Jericho.  We’ll be having a match for the VCWE North American Championship next week when Christian Cage defends his title against Carlito.  We’ll be having an 8 Diva Tag Team Match between the VCWE Bimbo’s Champion, Awesome Kong, and her partners will be Jacqueline, Natalya, and Michelle McCool and they’ll be taking on Maria, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, and Traci Brooks.  And lastly confirmed for next week’s show, it’ll be a Fatal 4 Way Match between Rhino, Rey Mysterio, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Chavo Guerrero.  Hope everyone will enjoy next week’s show and will enjoy tonight’s show even more.

Singles with Manager Match

Next, it is a Singles Match between one half of the VCWE Tag Team Champions, Shad, with the other half of the VCWE Tag Team Champions, JTG, in his corner, taking on Brother Devon, with Brother Ray in his corner.  This Sunday, these two teams are going at it for the titles, but tonight it is Singles action between Shad and Brother Devon.  The ending came when Shad pinned Brother Devon after the Thugnificent.  Will this be a sign of things to come at One Man Standing with the titles on the line?

The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel Jackson are Interviewed

Crystal Louthan:  My guests at this time are The Brian Kendrick and his advisor/bodyguard, Ezekiel Jackson.  Brian, up next you are in action against Robert Roode and the winner will gain a bunch of momentum heading into this Sunday’s Royal Rumble Match at the One Man Standing Pay Per View.  You are one of the smaller guys in this match, which gives you the biggest disadvantage the match can offer.  Any thoughts?

The Brian Kendrick:  Yeah, it does give me a huge disadvantage.  But truth be told, I have somebody to back me up come this Sunday at One Man Standing.  And just like the old expression goes, “size doesn’t matter”.  That’ll be proven this Sunday when I become one of the smallest guys to win the Royal Rumble Match.  I’ll be just like Rey Mysterio in 2006, except it’ll be in 2009 when The Brian Kendrick walks away the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner and becomes the new VCWE Heavyweight Champion come Virtual Bash.

Ezekiel Jackson:  And when Brian said that he has somebody to back him up come this Sunday that somebody is me, his advisor/bodyguard, Ezekiel Jackson.

More Action

In the next bout, it was a Singles Match between two more participants representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match; it was Robert Roode taking on The Brian Kendrick.  But the major factor in this match was the fact that Ezekiel Jackson was in the corner of The Brian Kendrick.  The ending came, when The Brian Kendrick distracted the referee and Ezekiel Jackson came into the ring and delivered The Ura-Nage onto Robert Roode.  The Brian Kendrick then went for the pin and stole the victory.

Theodore Long and Tiffany are Backstage

Theodore Long:  Tiffany, my darling, I didn’t like the fact that Ezekiel Jackson was going to be in the corner of The Brian Kendrick and giving him the unfair advantage, just like every superstar with a manager in their corner will be doing, so I called the General Managers of both Extreme and Impact.  They agreed with me that at the One Man Standing Pay Per View and during the 2009 Royal Rumble Match, every superstar that has a manager from all three brands will not be allowed to bring a manager to ringside with them due to the unfair advantage, even though there are no disqualifications in the match.

Tiffany:  I agree 100 percent, Mr. Long.  I don’t think that they should have the unfair advantage over the other superstars that have no managers.  So, I agree that no managers should be at ringside with their respective clients during the entire match.  And I can’t wait for One Man Standing, Mr. Long.  It’ll be great and it’ll be the first ever Royal Rumble Match in the VCWE and it’ll be great to see a Victory superstar win the match and become the winner of the first ever Royal Rumble Match in the VCWE and win the 2009 Royal Rumble Match and add the honor to their résumé.

Theodore Long:  I agree, Tiffany.  And now, let’s go back to the action in the ring because I can’t wait until I see the rest of tonight’s show.  Then, I’ll be able to see which Victory superstar has the momentum heading into this Sunday’s event and I’ll then see a potential winner of the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

Monsters Collide

Up next, it was Mike Knox taking on Undertaker in a Singles Match between two monsters that are representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  This match was all power game moves and seen a ton of back and forth action between the two rough and powerful individuals/superstars of the VCWE and of Victory.  The ending came when Undertaker pinned Mike Knox after a Tombstone Piledriver Pin.

Shelton Benjamin is Interviewed

Todd Grisham:  My guest at this time is the VCWE Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Benjamin.  Shelton, up next you are in 6 Person Tag Team action and if you win, it’ll be a huge momentum builder heading into your title defense against Goldust this Sunday at One Man Standing.  What are your thoughts on teaming with an undefeated champion in Awesome Kong and a former multiple time World Champion in Christ Jericho?

Shelton Benjamin:  It doesn’t matter who my partners are tonight, I am on a major role tonight.  I will defeat these three losers tonight, whether it is with partners or by myself.  I’ll defeat that creature named Goldust this Sunday and retain my title.  I guarantee that tonight I’ll get the win for my team.  I don’t care who I pin, as long as I win and my guarantees never failed once, so why start now.  Tonight, it’ll show you that I am simply the greatest superstar alive today.

6 Person Tag Team Match

In this 6 Person Tag Team Match, it was Goldust, the VCWE North American Champion, Christian Cage, and their partner was Maria, and they were taking on the VCWE Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Benjamin, Chris Jericho, and the VCWE Bimbo’s Champion, Awesome Kong, with Raisha Saeed in their corner.  This match was a great bout and once again, Shelton Benjamin’s guarantee has still yet to fail.  Because Shelton Benjamin pinned Christian Cage after The Paydirt.

Randy Orton is Interviewed by Crystal

Crystal Louthan:  Randy Orton, up next is the main event of the night and you are in it.  You take on Jeff Hardy and either you or Jeff will walk away the winner and have the momentum heading into the 2009 Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night, which may be your first win in the Royal Rumble Match.  What are your final thoughts before tonight’s main event and this Sunday’s Royal Rumble Match?

Randy Orton:  Well, Crystal.  Tonight, it won’t be too bad because all I got to do is beat a screw up like Jeff Hardy.  He has won the WWE Championship in the past, but he has never won the VCWE Heavyweight Championship or the Royal Rumble Match and he never will too.  The 2009 Royal Rumble Match belongs to me and so does the VCWE Heavyweight Championship.  Tonight, I’ll show everyone that Jeff Hardy has no chance in hell to walk away a winner and the same goes for this Sunday’s Pay Per View.

Main Event

It is now time for the main event of the night and it was a Singles Match between two superstars representing Victory in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  It was Randy Orton taking on Jeff Hardy.  This match was by far the best match of the night and it seen its end when Jeff Hardy pinned Randy Orton after a Swanton Bomb.  After the match, Randy Orton got up and turned right around into a Twist of Fate by Jeff Hardy.  Jeff Hardy then celebrated his victory, as Victory went off of the air.  Will Jeff Hardy be the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner this Sunday night?
