Impact

At Ringside with Michael Cole, Mick Foley, and Don West

Michael Cole:  Welcome everyone to Impact.  We are less than two weeks away from the One Man Standing Pay Per View, which is the first ever Pay Per View for the VCWE in the year of 2009.  Tonight’s Impact is coming to you all live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.  And tonight will conclude the Royal Rumble Qualifying Matches and by the end of the night, we’ll know the 30 participants involved in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

Don West:  That’s right, Michael.  In tonight’s main event, the thirtieth spot in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match will be revealed.  It’ll be featuring Petey Williams and his opponent will be Ron Simmons.

Mick Foley:  Also, we have a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match featuring Deuce and his opponent being the 1988 Royal Rumble Winner, Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Don West:  We have two Singles Matches between the two participants involved in the VCWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at One Man Standing.  One of them is the VCWE World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T, taking on Jeff Jarrett.  Sharmell will not be at ringside because she is out of action due to a concussion and she’ll make her return at the One Man Standing Pay Per View.  The other match would be JBL, whom is the number one contender for the VCWE World Heavyweight Championship, and he’ll be taking on Samoa Joe.

Mick Foley:  Vickie Guerrero, our General Manager, will be announcing the matches for the final Impact before the huge Pay Per View.

Michael Cole:  But lets kick off the show with an 8 Man Tag Team Match between the 8 superstars from Impact that have qualified into the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.

8 Man Tag Team Opening Contest

To start the show for Impact, it was John Cena, Mr. Kennedy, The Great Khali, and the heel, Big Show, taking on Vladimir Kozlov, Kevin Nash, Mark Henry, and Jack Swagger, with Tony Atlas in their corner, in an 8 Man Tag Team Match between the eight superstars that have qualified into the 2009 Royal Rumble Match from Impact thus far.  The match was a great one to kick off the show, with a ton of back and forth action, a lot of powerful tactics, with very little highflying, aerial, and speedy maneuvers being used.  The ending came when Big Show showed his true colors and delivered the Show Stopper and Vladimir Kozlov then covered him for the pinfall.

Vickie Guerrero is Backstage with ODB

Vickie Guerrero:  (Hears a knock on the door) come in.

ODB enters the room

ODB:  Vickie, you wanted to see me?

Vickie Guerrero:  Yes, yes I did, ODB.  I just want to let you know that your warm up match for Sharmell tonight, you’ll be taking on Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.  You already knew that, but the match will be not a regular 2 on 1 Handicap Diva’s Match, but the match will also be a No Disqualification Match.  Good luck, ODB.  You’re gonna need it.

ODB:  Its okay, Vickie.  I will love to kick those blonde bimbos with weapons being used.  Thanks again, Vickie.  Their blood will be in your hands.

JBL’s Match

Next, it was a Singles Match between JBL and his opponent being Samoa Joe.  This was a warm up match for JBL for when he will be facing Booker T at One Man Standing.  This match was a great match between the athletes, with the ending happening when JBL pinned Samoa Joe after the Closeline from Hell.

Ranjin Singh Interviewed

Lauren Thompson:  Please welcome my guest at this time.  He is the Assistant General Manager of Impact, Ranjin Singh.  Mr. Singh, why have you requested this exact time for an interview?

Ranjin Singh:  Well, Lauren.  Because I have made a match that’ll take place next.  It will be the VCWE No Holds Barred Champion, Hardcore Holly, taking on both Umaga and MVP in a Triple Threat No Holds Barred Match.  This match will also be a Non Title Match.  Hope you all will enjoy it.

Non Title Triple Threat No Holds Barred Match

In this next contest, it was a Non Title Triple Threat No Holds Barred Match when the Montel Vontavious, the VCWE No Holds Barred Champion, Hardcore Holly, and Umaga all went at it with every man for himself.  This match was a great bout with a ton of hardcore action being used.  The ending came when Hardcore Holly delivered the Alabamaslam on MVP on a steel chair.

Booker T is Interviewed

Lena Yada:  My guest at this time is the VCWE World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T.  Booker, up next you take on Jeff Jarrett in a Non Title Match.  But my question is, how is Sharmell after receiving the concussion last week?

Booker T:  Ms. Yada, Sharmell is recovering and getting better.  She will compete at One Man Standing against that slime ball, ODB.  Sharmell will win and she will make me proud.  As for tonight, I will beat Jeff Jarrett extremely easily like the snob that he truly is.

Non Title Singles Match

Up next, it was a Non Title Singles Match when the VCWE World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T, is taking on Jeff Jarrett.  Sharmell was not at ringside because of her concussion.  This match was an alright match and the fans were bored during parts of the match, but the ending, however, came via disqualification for Booker T when Jeff Jarrett hit Booker with his guitar finishing move, called the El Kabong.

Lena Interviews Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Lena Yada:  Hacksaw Jim Duggan, up next you have a shot at being in another Royal Rumble Match and a shot at becoming a two time Royal Rumble Winner.  You won the first ever Royal Rumble Match in 1988.  Do you think the 2009 Royal Rumble Match is your match to win and become a two time Royal Rumble Winner?

Hacksaw Jim Duggan:  2009 is gonna be a repeat from 1988.  It’ll be a Red, White, and Blue victory for me, Hacksaw Jim Duggan.  Oooohhhhhhh.

9th Royal Rumble Qualifying Match

In the next match, it was a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match between the 1988 Royal Rumble Winner, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and his opponent being Deuce.  This match was okay, the fans weren’t into it entirely, but the ending seen Hacksaw Jim Duggan advance to the 2009 Royal Rumble Match after he pinned Deuce with the 3 Point Stance.  Will Hacksaw Jim Duggan become a two time Royal Rumble Winner?

D’Lo Brown, Evan Bourne, and Kaz are Interviewed

Lena Yada:  My guests at this time are D’Lo Brown, Evan Bourne, and Kaz.  D’Lo, Evan, Kaz, up next you three are in 6 Man Tag Team action.  Your thoughts?

D’Lo Brown:  We have been preparing all week for this exact match.  I pretty much think we are all ready for this match and will dominate these three opponents of ours tonight.

Kaz:  Tonight, we will prove to everyone in the entire world that we are the most dominant trio in the history of the VCWE.

Evan Bourne:  Don’t forget the most dominant trip in the history of professional wrestling too.

D’Lo Brown:  Right, guys.  You all ready?  Let’s get going to kick some ass.

6 Man Tag Match

In this next bout, it was a 6 Man Tag Team Match between D’Lo Brown, Evan Bourne, and Kaz taking on DH Smith, Val Venis, and Tommy Dreamer.  This match was okay, but not too long nor too savvy.  The ending came when D’Lo Brown pinned Val Venis after the Lo Down.

Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella Backstage

Santino Marella:  Does ODB know your role in her match against Sharmell at One Man Standing, Beth?

Beth Phoenix:  I don’t think so, Santino.  But at One Man Standing, ODB will be utterly humiliated and will be made a fool in front of the world at one of the biggest Pay Per Views of the year.

Santino Marella:  Good plan, Beth.  Next is ODB’s match.  Let’s see if she’ll be weakened before her match with Sharmell in this No Disqualification Handicap Diva’s Match that you suggested Vickie Guerrero should make the match tonight.

Beth Phoenix:  Anything for Booker.  You know, he offered me a half a million dollars if Sharmell wins.

Santino Marella:  Wow, awesome.  Let’s see ODB get creamed next.  I can’t wait.

No Disqualification Handicap Diva’s Match

Now it is time for the No Disqualification Handicap Diva’s Match.  Beth Phoenix suggested that this match be made to No Disqualification rules, as we just found out, to the General Manager of Impact, Vickie Guerrero.  It was ODB taking on Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, with Kute Kip in their corner.  This match was a good match, and it seen its end come when ODB pinned Velvet Sky after hitting her with a steel chair.

Lauren is Interviewing Petey Williams

Lauren Thompson:  Petey Williams, up next is the main event of the night when you will be taking on Ron Simmons and the winner will be the final superstars added into the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  Thoughts?

Petey Williams:  I will win tonight and head to the One Man Standing Pay Per View.  I will become the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner.

10th Royal Rumble Qualifying Match

It is now time for the main event and it was the final Royal Rumble Qualifying Match.  It was Ron Simmons taking on Petey Williams.  Ron Simmons is the final participant in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match when he pinned Petey Williams after the RFS Spinebuster.  Ron Simmons joins Kane, Shawn Michaels, Big Daddy V, Snitsky, Matt Hardy, Abyss, Matt Morgan, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, Hurricane Helms, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Triple H, Sting, Jeff Hardy, Undertaker, The Brian Kendrick, Mike Knox, Robert Roode, John Morrison, Big Show, Mark Henry, The Great Khali, Vladimir Kozlov, Kevin Nash, John Cena, Jack Swagger, Mr. Kennedy, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.  The 2009 Royal Rumble Match is now finalized.  Who will be crowned the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner?

Vickie Guerrero is Interviewed by Lena Yada

Lena Yada:  My guest is the General Manager of Impact, Vickie Guerrero.  Ms. Guerrero, before we go off of the air tonight, what matches have you confirmed for next week’s show?

Vickie Guerrero:  Well, Lena.  Next week, we’ll be having a Beat the Clock Challenge.  The winner of the Beat the Clock Challenge by winning their matches in the fastest time will in fact be the number thirty entrant in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match.  The main event of next week’s show is going to be a Beat the Clock Match featuring John Cena taking on Kevin Nash.  Also, the other Beat the Clock Matches will be Jack Swagger taking on Hacksaw Jim Duggan.  The Great Khali taking on Vladimir Kozlov.  Big Show taking on Mr. Kennedy.  And Ron Simmons taking on Mark Henry.  Also for next week, it’ll be a 3 on 1 Handicap Match between ODB in a last warm up match taking on Beth Phoenix, Angelina Love, and Velvet Sky, with Kute Kip in their corner.  And lastly for next week’s show, it’ll be Booker T and MVP taking on JBL and Hardcore Holly.  Have a great night and see you next week on Impact, just a few days from One Man Standing.
